Lee W. Riemenschneider, Chief frog, Founder
Lee W. Riemenschneider has been involved in embedded
systems
development since 1990, but started playing with software in 1980. He
has a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering Technology
from Purdue University. While at
Purdue somewhere around 1985, he started something with Rick
Rogers, Rick Armstrong, and a
squeaky frog that turned into a band called Phrogs. Hence the "frog" in
frogooa. (Sure it should be phrogooa, but Lee was never into the whole
"Ph" for "f" fad that was going around.)
In 1993, he was introduced to the Shlaer-Mellor
method (now called
Executable UML) by Cortland
Starrett, and subsequently began specializing in Executable UML
development. This is the source of the "ooa" in frogooa.
Despite this levity of speech and company naming, Lee
is quite serious
about creating quality software.
